Digital Marketing Manager – Maternity Leave Coverage (9 Months)

  • Are you a whiz in the world of digital paid ads, content funnel development and eCommerce growth?
  • Are you an intellectually curious person who loves to test ideas, get “into the data” and play with different elements of a problem in order to produce results?
  • Do you enjoy environments that allow you to be nimble and adaptable, changing plans and making adjustments when new opportunities present themselves?
  • Are you an executor that loves to get stuff done, but enjoys the ability to cast your own creative vision for projects?
  • Are you a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to your work, loving the opportunity to take ownership over all parts of a project to make it happen, rather than working in one, specific and specialized role?
  • Do you prefer to work in smaller, locally-based environments, where you can actually make a big difference working on meaningful projects?
  • Do you thrive in situations where you can have independence and autonomy over your work?
  • Do you have a strong desire to feel genuine about your marketing, because the product or service that you’re sharing with others is wholesome and valuable?

Anything Grows is Cochrane & Northwest Calgary’s largest Garden Center, and has been serving Cochrane, Calgary and Canmore for over 20 years. We are family-owned and operated, and offer a large variety of indoor & outdoor plants, gardening products, furniture, and giftware. We’re different than the local big-box-store, and we take pride in providing genuine value to our community. We work hard to bring in a unique collection of premium-grade plants and high-quality goods that we can authentically get behind. We advocate for respectful and responsible care for the environment, but balance that with providing the practical solutions that our customers need. We spend time and money to make valuable gardening resources available to our community, in order to inspire and equip people for successful gardening. And we provide the attentive, professional customer service that shoppers have come to expect, enjoy and uniquely appreciate from our brand.

Although we are 22 years old, we’re in a phase of growth and evolution! With the stability and experience of an established company, we are in a unique position where introducing fresh ideas, and capturing learning from the market is an important part of our growth.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for strong, versatile team players who believe in the value they have to offer, and enjoy sharing the goodness of gardening with their community!

This is where you come in.

  • You love trial and error, but have a strong desire to track and hone your craft towards success!
  • You prefer to have autonomy and are a bit of a ‘jack-of-all-trades’ when it comes to marketing… you’d rather build your own content, take your own pictures, and write your own copy so you can be versatile, adaptable and ‘quick’ to make changes in your digital marketing campaigns.
  • You love to have the ability to identify the next new project… and then tackle it!
  • You gravitate towards ‘the data’ to help you make tweaks, changes and decisions.
  • You have a curious spirit, enjoying new opportunities to learn the intricacies of how something works!
  • You are driven to produce real, meaningful results – and you like to succeed. None of these mamby-pamby, wishy-washy “goals”… you love a good, clear target!
  • You want to work with a smaller team, in a local, “family” environment where your contribution is a big, meaningful, and important.
  • You’re very familiar with terms like “PPC,” “Top of Funnel,” “Facebook Ad Manager” and “Conversion Rate.”
  • Visuals and graphic design are within your realm of experience– building a short catchy video, taking an eye-catching photo, or designing a postcard are totally feasible.
  • You have an uncanny ability to quickly identify the specifics of what makes a brand unique, and then replicate those things in the tone and voice of your marketing content.
